Through the kindness and foresight ‘Kathleen Thornton’ (God rest her soul), the new stained glass windows have been installed (26th & 27th of August 2013). The windows that highlight our sanctuary are located immediately over the statue of Our Lady and over the statue of Saint Joseph. They are a seamless thematic match to the existing presentation. On our parish web-site you may view several other photographs that depict the installation process. As we move forward, fulfilling Monsignor Meehan’s vision of the Church, there is a certain satisfaction in a slow and steady game plan for adding those ‘appointments’ that are most beautiful but not immediate needs. Secondly, I prefer, perhaps you do as well, that additions are purchased when we can afford them and not before. Consequently, we are most grateful that this ‘dedicated bequest’ came our way. To Ed Thornton who carried out his sister’s will, we express equal appreciation. To the artists and craftsmen of Scintilla Studios who made this project a reality, thank you. Truly, I find the window’s to be beautiful, well done. “MayGod grant success to the work of your hands. Grant success to the work of your hands” Psalm 90.
