Join us for a special Celebration of Singles at SS. Simon and Jude Parish on Sunday, January 23, 2011
Single life is a specific calling from God. Single people can devote themselves in love and service beyond family – to the poor and the needy not otherwise served. Some people make a deliberate choice of the single life. Others are single by circumstance. Whether a young adult, single by choice, divorced/separated or widowed, we can all follow Jesus, bring love to the world and grow in holiness. The single life is a vocation which is carried out in the midst of the world. By the silent witness of a holy life, single people are lights shining out in the world, pointing out the way to God. Our parish would like to honor, celebrate and pray for all who are single in our parish.
When: Sunday, January 23, 2011 at the 12:00 Noon Mass
with a blessing followed by a special reception from 1:00 - 2:00 pm in Monihan Hall.
Who: Those who have chosen the single life as a vocation, young adults (21 and over), separated/divorced, widows/widowers, you are all welcome!
Come and join us for Mimosa’s and light refreshments as we celebrate you!
We ask that if you plan to attend the reception that you please sign up on the sheets at the entrances of church or call the Rectory Office at 610-696-3624 so we have enough food and drink.
