Giving Tree Elves We are looking for some helping “elves” to assist with collecting gifts and gift cards for our Parish Giving Tree. We are supporting various charities and several Church families who are in need. If you sign up, the time will go towards your service hours for Confirmation. Christmas Giving Tree
For many years Saint Simon and Jude Parish has remembered those in need at Christmas through the Giving Tree.
This year, the gifts will go to various Charities and some Parish Families who are in need.
3 DIFFERENT WAYS TO CHOOSE GIFTS
1. On line gift giving from the Saint Simon and Jude Website. At the top of the Home Page-Select “Donate”, then “Give Electronically here”. Scroll down to the “Christmas Giving Tree” link and enter your amount and make sure you select “1 time”.
2. Gift Cards can be purchased in any denomination from any of the following companies: Giant, Shoprite, CVS, Rite Aid, Target, Walmart, Home Depot, Dunkin (Donuts), Amazon, VISA or Wawa. Drop off instructions are below.
3. Baby items to drop off Birthright is the only agency for whom we are accepting physical items. They are in need of baby outfits, sleepers and onesies (sizes 6, 9 and 12 months), small infant teething toys and board books.
DROP OFF OF GIFT CARDS OR BABY ITEMS WILL BE BEFORE & AFTER EACH MASS FOR 2 WEEKENDS DECEMBER Saturday 2nd, & Sunday 3rd, THEN AGAIN Saturday 9th & Sunday 10th. There will be elves in the Narthex collecting the gift cards or baby items before every Mass. All gifts cards and cash can be taken to the Rectory office from now until December 11.
Please be sure to place in an envelope clearly marked “Christmas Giving Tree”, you are welcome to use the office mail slot for the donation. THANK YOU so much for your giving hearts to help those in need!
