There is no school on Monday or Tuesday for students. Monday is Martin Luther King Day and Tuesday is a faculty in-service day.
Person of the Week 12-19-08
Congratulations to our persons of the week: Katie Sollecito, Grade 3, Room 3, and Patrick Devaney, Grade 6, Room 16.
Katie Sollecito is nice, kind, caring, gentle and courageous. She is a great athlete especially in basketball. She is very conscientious about her school work, she volunteers in class, and she has nice handwriting. Katie is honest and funny. She includes others in her play and she never brags when she wins a game. Katie has a way of adding happiness to any day.
Patrick Devaney is nice, kind, helpful and caring. He always greets people with a smile. He invites other students to join him playing in the yard. He works hard in class in which he always participates. He gets along well with the other students and he truly lives the school pledge.
Kyra Joslin, Patrick Russell, Anja Hayes, Maura Clancy, Julia Lubar, Caroline Sheehan, Lauren Magnotta, and Taylor Crawford nominated Katie Sollecito. Mrs. Connell, Mrs. Langdon, Colin McLaughlin, and Tommy Russell nominated Patrick Devaney.
Katie Sollecito and Patrick Devaney are two students who make a difference at SS. Simon and Jude School.

Today at 1:30 there will be the Grade 8 Christmas Dress Rehearsal. Eighth grade parents may attend and take pictures.
Tomorrow there will be an 11:45 dismissal. There will not be pretzels tomorrow. If your parents come to the Christmas Pageant, they are welcome to take you home after the pageant.
Tomorrow is a special Christmas dress up day. Students do not need to wear their school uniforms tomorrow.

Today is the special Christmas dress up day.
At 10:30 there will be a school performance of the eighth grade Christmas Pageant. Parents are welcome to attend. After the program, if parents are present, they may go to the classrooms to pick up their child/ren.
No pretzels today.
There will be an 11:45 AM dismissal for all students.
Before students leave, please have them clean out their desk and be sure that there are not any food items in the classrooms. Please manually turn off your ceiling mounted projector. See you next year – January 5th!
